José Lévy is a versatile Parisian artist, recognized for his work in the fields of ceramics, painting and photography, and whose creations are often inspired by nature and popular culture. He mixes with talent past stories and new horizons with fantasy and rigor. Laureate of the Villa Kujoyama, José Lévy is also Grand Prix of the City of Paris and Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.

José Lévy is a Parisian artist who navigates with talent and poetry between the worlds of fashion, decorative arts, design and museum installations. His whimsical and humanistic approach is the starting point and the driving force behind each of his projects. He designs singular and intimate objects by calling on his childhood memories and his experiences of life inspired by Japan.

The Collection

For this bright red ceramic collection inspired by Japan, José Lévy chose the name AKA, which means red in Japanese. The red circle, the central theme of this collection, is a nod to the rising sun.
