PERI AND ARABELLE
Who are we?
We are great friends in real life and love open tables where friends and family mingle and sometimes even strangers we met the night before.
Arabelle Reille
I have been an art historian and art advisor for more than 15 years, I have also hosted and participated in several cultural programs on Paris Première.
Péri Cochin
I am an architect by training and a television producer. What I love above all is creating new concepts: "1 Picasso for 100 euros", "La Tarte aux Bonbons", "J'adore lesdinners.com" and a few others…
WAWW LA TABLE WAS BORN BECAUSE
We want to dust off the world of tableware
We believe that today plates, glasses and all the products placed on a table are table objects in their own right. They reveal who we are, our tastes, our desires of the moment, and they deserve to be chosen with care.
So we decided to offer at Waww La Table various collections of glass, ceramics, textiles and many other objects that all meet very specific criteria.
Our criteria
- the beautiful: even if it is relative; here, we assume our choices.
- the responsible: at Waww, we have favoured solidarity by producing our own designs at Les Ateliers de Tyr, a charitable NGO recognized by UNESCO based in southern Lebanon.
- craftsmanship: by calling on craftsmen all over the world who possess exceptional know-how that is often passed down from generation to generation. Their talent is in their hands, and that means that each object is created with a soul.
- the unique: with new ideas for fully laid out tables, for example.
- upcycling: where vintage rediscovers its letters of nobility and brings us the joy of consuming in a circular economy. Waww! It is ethical and sustainable! We love it.
OUR PRIVILEGED PARTNER FOR THE ARTISANAL PRODUCTION OF WAWW ITEMS
Les Ateliers de Tyr
A craft village that revives the know-how of the handmade and of the mouth-blown glass, invented in this region by the Phoenicians. Built by the "International Association for the Safeguarding of the City of Tyr", under the aegis of UNESCO, this eco-responsible village has a solidarity vocation. It offers, as a priority, jobs for women and the disabled, in the region of southern Lebanon.
